WML clients may receive a duplicate QueryString collection that is set by using the Form.Action property (836092)

SYMPTOMS

A mobile Web form that adds a duplicate QueryString collection that is set by using the Form.Action property generates HTML correctly. However, a problem may occur when some Wireless Markup Language (WML) clients receive a duplicate QueryString collection. The QueryString collection may not be correctly processed.

The duplicate QueryString collection seems to be added from the original forms.

CAUSE

The WmlMobileTextWriter class does not correctly process the duplicate QueryString collection that is set by using the Form.Action property.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1.
