When you save a report to rich text format, the report loses parameter information

When you export an Access 2002 report to rich text format (RTF), parameters that appeared correctly in the report during Print Preview do not export into the new RTF file. The parameters do not appear in the exported document.


When you view data access pages, they do not appear correctly

If you view the data access page for a database, some or none of the expected fields appear correctly. This problem occurs after you install Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, or after you perform a side-by-side installation of Microsoft Office Access 2003 on the same computer.



You receive an error message after you convert an Access 2003 MDB to Access 2002

When you save an Access 2003 Microsoft Access database (MDB), with an MDE, to the Access 2002 format, and then re-create the MDE for the.mdb file, if you try to use any buttons or other scripted functions on a form, you receive the following error message:
The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt.


The OpenArgs function only works one time in a VBA project

If your Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code for a form makes a call to the OpenArgs function after you open the form in design mode, you may receive the following VBA error message:
Run-time error: 94
Invalid use of Null


The DoCmd.ApplyFilter function will not affect the active form after you lock the computer

When you lock your computer while you have two Microsoft Access forms open, when you unlock the computer and try to activate the DoCmd.ApplyFilter function on the active form, the filter will be applied to the other form instead. This problem occurs when the active form uses the OnResize event and the computer is running Microsoft Windows XP.



When you open a data page in Browse view, you receive the "Egenskapen DefaultSort er ugyldlg" error message

In the Norwegian version of Access 2002, if you open a data page in Browse view, you receive the following error message:
Egenskapen DefaultSort er ugyldlg.
This problem occurs if you use one of the following functions on a numeric field: Max or Min.



You receive an error message in Modsync.exe when you try to make a data page available offline in Internet Explorer

When you view an Access data page in Microsoft Internet Explorer and then try to make it available offline, you receive the following error message:
mobsync.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "memory_location" referenced memory at "memory_location". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program


When you try to make an Access 2002 data page available offline, you receive an error message

When you try to make an Access 2002 data page available offline, you may receive the following error message:
Could not create any records form the XML document located at "memory_location". Check to make sure that the document exists, the path to the document is correct, and that you have the appropriate access permissions.


When you cancel a cross-domain warning message, you receive a general protection fault

When you create a data page that accesses an SQL server by using Microsoft Windows NT authorization, and then cancel a cross-domain warning message, you may receive a general protection fault from Microsoft Access.



When you edit a saved data page in Access 2002, you receive a "Microsoft Access is unable to load the database schema." error message

When you try to edit a saved data page in Access 2002, Access will open the data page and then you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Access is unable to load the database schema. Save was disabled. Either repair or reinstall Microsoft Office XP.
If you try to update the data page from the field list, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Access is unable to connect to the data source specified in the connection string of this page.

The server may not exist on the network, or there may be an error in the connection sting information for this page


You receive an Access 2002 error message

You receive the following Access 2002 error message:
Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that is similar to one of the following error signatures:

Additionally, other program versions, module versions, and offsets are possible.

Snapshot Viewer prints characters with extra spaces or with random results

When you print a Snapshot Viewer file that contains Japanese characters, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
  • Extra spaces are printed with each character.
  • Printed characters overlap each other.
  • Characters are printed out of sequence.
  • Characters are printed randomly every time that the file is printed.
