You cannot enter your user ID or your password for an HTTP proxy connection in Windows Messenger 5.0 (836013)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to configure your Windows Messenger 5.0 to use an HTTP proxy connection, you cannot enter your user ID or your password. The User ID and Password boxes appear dimmed.
