back to the topIssues that are fixed by the hotfix package
The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package:
870564 You receive the "Microsoft Office Outlook had problems encrypting this message" error message when you address an e-mail message to a LDAP recipient in Outlook 2003
The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix package, but they were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- If you view an e-mail message that contains an attachment that is stored in a personal folders (.pst) file in the Reading pane in Outlook 2003, the attachment from the first e-mail message is lost when you switch to read another e-mail message.
- If you add a custom .pst file in Outlook 2003 or start Outlook 2003 after have added a custom .pst file, the .pst file is automatically crawled.
- If the insertion point is located in a custom combo box control on a command bar in Outlook 2003, some buttons on the Input Method Editor (IME) toolbar may not be available.
- If you click a link in a received e-mail message to open a
file, and then click to select the Always ask before opening this type of file check
box in the Opening Mail Attachment dialog box to prevent from being prompted when you perform this kind of action, you are again prompted with the Opening Mail Attachment dialog box when you click a link in a received e-mail message to open a file.
- If you use the Find feature in Outlook 2003 to find an e-mail message in a public folder, and then you try to open the found e-mail message, the body of the e-mail message is blank.
This issue may occur if you have the CryptoEx encryption software (plug-in) installed.
For more information about CryptoEx encryption software, visit the following CryptoEx Web site: - When you open an occurrence of a recurring appointment that contains an ActiveX calendar control, you may receive the following error message:
To help prevent malicious code from running, one or more objects in this form were not loaded. For more information, contact your administrator.
- When a delegate creates a new meeting request on behalf of another user by selecting the users e-mail name from the AutoComplete list, and if that user has accepted or declined an earlier updated meeting request, the user's status for the updated meeting request is associated with the new meeting request that was created by the delegate.
- When you try to open an e-mail message that you found by using the Find feature in Outlook 2003, you may receive the following error message:
Can't Open the item. Could not open the item. Try again.
This issue occurs when all the following conditions are true:- Your incoming e-mail messages are delivered to your default .pst file in Outlook 2003.
- You copy messages from your default .pst file to your non-default .pst file.
- You perform the Find feature from your non-default .pst file.
- If you open an item that you found by using the Find feature in Outlook 2003, the item does not open using your custom form. If you open the item directly without using the Find feature, the item opens using your custom form.
