Session Summary

This Support WebCast session will discuss the role of
the tempdb system database in typical Microsoft SQL Server operations. It will
provide a review of the tempdb configuration and specifications, and describe
some of the administration and maintenance tasks related to the tempdb
database. The session will talk about planning activities, expanding and
shrinking tempdb, moving it to another drive, and optimizing its performance.
The Support WebCast will also discuss some of the known issues and challenges
with maintaining tempdb.

200 session that will be presented by Jivko Dobrev.
Jivko
Dobrev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. He joined Microsoft (in the Bulgarian
office) in 1999 as a Systems Engineer working with the Enterprise group on
presales technical support tasks. Jivko joined the Product Support Services SQL
Server group in 2001 and works with a wide variety of customers around the
world. He holds MCSE, MCDBA, and MCSD certifications.
