The narration does not play when you view a PowerPoint presentation from a Web page (834694)

SYMPTOMS

When you view your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation from a Web page in your Web browser, the narration in your presentation does not play.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when you have Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series installed on your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, turn on the Show slide animation while browsing option. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In PowerPoint, open your presentation.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the General tab, click Web Options.
  4. On the General tab, click to select the Show slide animation while browsing check box, and then click OK to close the Web Options dialog box.
  5. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
