- Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 64-Bit Enterprise Edition
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to set the size of the paging file on your Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer to a value that is between 2 megabytes (MB) and 16 MB, Windows Server 2003 calculates its own value for the size of the paging file.CAUSEThis problem occurs because in Windows Server 2003, the minimum value that you can set the paging file size to is 16 MB. If you set the paging file size to a value that is less than 16 MB, Windows Server 2003 will calculate a value for the size of the paging file.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
