SUMMARY

This article describes how to synchronize time zone settings between MSN Calendar and Microsoft Outlook after you install Microsoft Office Outlook Connector for MSN on your computer.

MORE INFORMATION

After you install Office Outlook Connector for MSN on your computer, we recommend that you verify that the time zone setting of your computer is the same as the time zone setting of your Microsoft .NET Passport profile.

If the time zone of your computer and the time zone of your .NET Passport profile are different, you may experience synchronization issues when you synchronize information between clients that rely on both the time zone of your computer (such as Outlook) and on the time zone of the MSN Calendar (that relies on the time zone of your .NET Passport profile). For example, after you synchronize information with the Office Outlook Connector for MSN, you may find that the times of your appointments in Outlook and the times of your appointments in MSN Calendar do not match.

To verify or to change the time zone setting of your .NET Passport profile, follow these steps:
  1. Start your Web browser, and then connect to MSN Calendar.
  2. Click Options.
  3. In the left pane, click Personal, and then click My Profile under Personal Information.
  4. In the Time zone box, verify that the time zone setting is correct.

If the time zone setting does not match the time zone setting that your computer is configured to use, change the time zone to use the same time zone setting that your computer is configured to use.
  5. Click Update.
