FIX: The BizTalk Adapter for FTP AIC may append an extra byte of data to a document (834156)

SYMPTOMS

If you send a document through the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for FTP Application Integration component (AIC), and the Pass through option is enabled, an extra byte of data is appended to the document.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to the latest version of the BizTalk Adapter for FTP. To download BizTalk 2002 Adapter for FTP, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem only occurs if the document that you are processing contains an odd number of bytes. Therefore, this problem may not be consistently reproducible.

This problem only occurs for installations of the BizTalk Adapter for FTP that include a version of the Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for FTP\BTSFTPAIC.dll file that is earlier than 1.0.0989.0.
