Digital Signer entry is not displayed correctly in the Properties dialog box for the device (833972)

SYMPTOMS

When you open the Properties dialog box for a device in Device Manager so that you can see the driver details, the Digital Signer entry may not be displayed correctly.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you are using the Chinese (CHT) version of Microsoft Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

You can ignore this issue. This is only a display issue; no system damage occurs.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
