Recorded TV may be corrupted or may have no audio when you use the "Good" recording quality option (833941)

SYMPTOMSWhen recording Live TV with the Recording
Quality option set to Good, some recordings may not
have audio or some recordings may be corrupted and not play audio or
video.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, select a recording quality
other than Good. To change the recording quality
after you start Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004, follow these
steps: - From
the Windows Media Center main menu, click Settings, click
TV, click Recorder, and then click
Recorder Storage.
- Change the Recording Quality value to
something other than Good. For example, select
Best, Better or Fair.
- Click Save to save your changes.
