You cannot skip tracks on a Video CD in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 (833939)

SYMPTOMS

When you play a Video CD (VCD) in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004, you cannot skip from track to track. When you press the Skip button or the Replay button on the remote control, the VCD playback advances by 30 seconds (the Skip button) or rewinds the VCD by 7 seconds (the Replay button).

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, hold down the Skip button or the Replay button to quickly move from one track to another. With this workaround, you can quickly advance or rewind through the current track to the next (or previous) track.
