You may receive unexpected results when you apply conditional formatting to group footers in a Data View in FrontPage 2003 (833690)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
- Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services
SYMPTOMSWhen you open a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web
site in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003, add a Data View Web Part to a Web
page, group data in the Data View by using a group footer, and then apply
conditional formatting to that group footer, you may receive unexpected
results. For example, when you apply conditional formatting to hide specific
content in the group footer, either incorrect content is hidden or no content
is hidden.CAUSEThis issue may occur if all the following conditions are
true, in the order that they are presented:
- In FrontPage 2003, you add a Data View Web Part to a Web
page in your Windows SharePoint Services Web site.
- On the Data menu, you click Sort
and Group, specify one or more fields that you want to sort the data
by, and then click Show group footer to group data by using a
group footer.
- You select the content in the group footer that you want to
apply conditional formatting to, and then on the Data menu,
click Conditional Formatting to specify the criteria that you
want.
In this situation, FrontPage 2003 may not apply conditional
formatting to the content that you selected in the group footer as expected.
FrontPage 2003 may apply conditional formatting to incorrect content or may not
apply conditional formatting to any content.
