Word 2003 stops responding when you remove an assignment in a Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals document (833668)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Remove assignment on the Document Actions task pane in a Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals document, Microsoft Office Word 2003 may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when you delete the text (including the paragraph mark) that comes before a table that is contained in an assigned section.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, do not delete the paragraph mark that comes before the table in an assigned section.

When you delete the text (including the paragraph mark) that comes before a table that is in an assigned section, Word 2003 may move the leading section tag inside the table. Instead of receiving an error message to indicate that a section create error has occurred, Word 2003 stops responding (hang).
