FIX: The AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory property contains the wrong path when you use a UNC share (833601)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

SYMPTOMS

If you configure an application so that its virtual directory is located on a UNC share, the AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory property contains the wrong path. The following is an example of a UNC share path:

\\Qcsp233\c$\HighTrust

In this example, the AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory property should be set to the following:

\\Test\c$\HighTrust

Instead, the AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory property is set to the following:

C:\WINNT\system32\Test\c$\HighTrust\
