FIX: Links are not hidden for postings that the subscriber does not have access permissions for in MCMS 2002 (833540)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 SP1

SYMPTOMS

If an author creates a posting in channel A that contains a link to a posting in channel B, when a subscriber who has access to channel A but not to channel B views the page in channel A, the link to the posting in channel B is not hidden. If the subscriber clicks the link, an authentication message appears.

This problem occurs only on postings in the first level of channel B. Postings in a subchannel of channel B are handled correctly.
