A program or a service logs an error that states that the handle is not valid for the event log (833305)

SYMPTOMS

You may see one of the following events in the event log. These events may be recorded when a program or a service is monitoring the event log and when the server is experiencing high stress logging events:

Description:
The NT %1 Provider encountered an unexpected error on the Directory Service event log. The Provider will attempt to recover by re-opening the log. Error details: The handle is invalid.

Description:
Error reading log event record. Handle specified is 506840. Return code from ReadEventLog is 6.

These errors may also occur on a computer if the monitoring software loses network connectivity to the target computer.
