Section owner is not notified when a section is deleted from a document in Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals (833265)

SYMPTOMSWhen you remove (delete) a section or remove the section tags of a section in a Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals document, the user (owner) who is assigned to the section is not notified of the removal.CAUSEThis problem may occur when you do one or more of the following actions: - You right-click a section tag and then you click Remove section_tag_name tag.
- You move the insertion point to the right of section tag and then you press ENTER two times.
- You double-click a section tag of an assigned section and then you press DELETE.
- You assign a section to a user and then you click Undo on the Edit menu or on the standard toolbar.
Note If you click Redo to undo your change, the user who is assigned to the section is not notified of the change. - You use the XML Structure task pane. You right-click a section that is listed in the Elements in the document list box and then you click Remove section_tag_name tag.
WORKAROUNDTo remove an assigned section and to make sure that the assigned owner is notified of the change, follow these steps: - In the Documents Action task pane, click Sections.
- In the Sections area, click the section name of the assigned section that you want to remove in the Sections list box.
- Click Remove assignment.
- In the Confirm removal dialog box, click to select the Notify assignee check box, and then click OK.
The section tags are removed from the section and the text is no longer assigned to a user.
