A custom script map property in Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager is overwritten (832973)



The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you add a custom script map property in Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager, the .dll file for the custom script map property may be overwritten if you change the authentication method in Exchange System Manager. When this problem occurs, the Davex.dll file is listed two times, and the custom script map property is removed from the configuration properties of the Microsoft Exchange virtual directory.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.

  • Microsoft Exchange Information Store
  • Microsoft Exchange System Attendant
