SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Windows Server 2003, when you use Terminal Server License Server Activation Wizard to activate a Terminal Services license server by telephone, you may find that you cannot use the product ID that appears on the License Server Activation page of the wizard to complete the activation of the license server. The product ID that is generated by the wizard does not work.CAUSEThis problem may occur when Terminal Server License Server Activation Wizard incorrectly processes the product ID.RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
