"The installation wizard was interrupted before Microsoft Money could be completely installed" error message when you install Money (832774)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order that they appear.

Method 1: Install and remove an earlier version of Money

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
To do this, follow these steps:

1. Reinstall the earlier version of Money.
2. After the installation is complete, click Start, and then click Control Panel.
3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
4. Click Microsoft Money, and then click Add/Remove.
   
   Follow the prompts to remove the program.
5. Download the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, and use it to remove all programs that are related to Money.

6. Install the current version of Money.

If the problem is not resolved, go to the next method.

Method 2: Install MSN Money ActiveX controls

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:

   http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/controls/portpromo.asp

2. Click Download MSN Money Deluxe, and then follow any prompts to install the files.
3. When a chart appears on the Web page, click I See the Chart.
4. Install Money.
