When you click View, you receive the following message:The following files have been blocked by the administrator: /ProjectServer/isapi/pjdbcomm.dll Note This message will be different depending on the URL to which you are trying to connect. CAUSEThis behavior occurs if you install Project Server 2003
before you install and configure Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. In this
situation, the Project Server path is not excluded from the Windows SharePoint
Services namespace.RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, use SharePoint Central
Administration to exclude the Project Server 2003 path from Windows SharePoint
Services. To do so, follow these steps:
- On the server that is running Windows SharePoint Services,
start SharePoint Central Administration.
- On the Windows SharePoint Services Central Administration
page, under Virtual Server Configuration, click Extend
or upgrade virtual server.
- On the Virtual Server List page, click complete
list.
- On the Virtual Server List page, click the name of the
virtual server where Windows SharePoint Services is configured--for example,
click Default Web Site.
- On the Virtual Server Settings page, under Virtual
Server Management, click Define managed
paths.
- On the Define Managed Paths page, in the Add a New
Path area, type the Project Server 2003 path that you want to exclude
from Windows SharePoint services--for example, type
/ProjectServer.
- Under Type, click Excluded
path, and then click OK.
To avoid this behavior, install and configure Windows SharePoint
Services before you install Project Server 2003.
