An access violation occurs when you convert a Unicode string to a multi-byte code page (832424)



The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

If you use a language code page that uses a multi-byte character set (MBCS) to convert a string from Unicode to a multi-byte code page, you may receive an access violation error message.

This behavior may occur with any program that uses multi-byte code pages, such as Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix Information

Prerequisites

This fix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart Requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean operation and then rebuild the platform. You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this fix.
