Opportunities are not updated correctly when you create an order (832190)

SYMPTOMS

If you use Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.0 to create an order that corresponds to an opportunity, the opportunity is not updated correctly. If you create an order from an associated quote, and the opportunity is already closed when you create the order, the status of the opportunity may be set to "canceled." Because the opportunity is now closed, the close probability may not be updated.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next version of Microsoft Business Solutions CRM that contains this hotfix.
