BizTalk Server 2000 Does Not Support Components That Are Written in Visual Studio .NET (832165)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000

SUMMARY

Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 does not support the development or the use of any components that are written in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and that are compiled as managed code. Managed code is dependent upon the Microsoft .NET runtime file Mscorwks.dll.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft BizTalk Server accommodates the development of custom components for use as Application Integration Components (AICs), preprocessors, and components that are called from BizTalk Orchestration. However, BizTalk Server 2000 does not provide an interface for developing these components as managed code by using Visual Studio .NET.

This development interface is available in BizTalk Server 2002. This interface is also included with the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 Toolkit for Microsoft .NET.
