PRB: The Current Late Send Rate Counter Increases During a Live Broadcast (832093)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Media Services 9 Series
SYMPTOMSWhen you view Performance Monitor during a live broadcast, the Current Late Send Rate counter may gradually increase over a long time.CAUSEThis problem occurs when the system clocks on separate encoder and server computers are no longer synchronized. If the two computers do not subscribe to a time server, their system clocks may drift out of synchronization.
This problem does not generally indicate any other problem.RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, synchronize the system clocks of the encoder computer and of the server computer.STATUS
This behavior is by design.MORE INFORMATIONOne of the easiest ways to synchronize the system clocks is to subscribe the computers to a time service. For more information about the Windows Time Service, see the product documentation.
