SYMPTOMS
When you try to link to an application or to a DLL, and the application or the DLL has more
than 32,767 exports,
you receive the following error message:
ApplicationName.exp : error LNK2016: Absolute symbol '@comp.id'
used as target of DIR32NB relocation LINK : fatal error LNK1165: link failed
because of fixup errors
This problem does not occur in Microsoft
Visual C++ 6.0.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in

coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is

Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
