You receive a "Server Application Unavailable" error message when you try to export records to an Excel worksheet in Microsoft CRM 1.0 (831930)

SYMPTOMSYou use the Advanced Find feature in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.0 to retrieve the records for several leads. When you try to export these records to a Microsoft Office Excel worksheet by clicking the Export to an Excel spreadsheet button, you experience both the following symptoms: CAUSEThis problem occurs if all the following conditions are true: - You performed a query to obtain the records for several leads.
- You specified a particular condition when you created this query.
- The query returned many records. For example, the query returned 5000 to 7000 records.
- You clicked the Export to an Excel spreadsheet button to export these results to an Excel worksheet.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install the hotfix rollup package that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article: 835407 Microsoft CRM 1.0 hotfix rollup for the problems that are documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 835307, 832869, 831930, and 829886
