SYMPTOMSWhen you run Microsoft Office Excel 2003 on a computer that
has a beta version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for Microsoft
Office 2003 installed, Office 2003 may quit unexpectedly and you may receive
the following error message: Microsoft Excel has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.

CAUSE This problem is caused by using the Beta 2 or Beta 2
Technical Refresh version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for
Office 2003 with the original released version of Office 2003.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem on a computer that has the original
released version of Office 2003 installed, remove the Beta 2 or Beta 2
Technical Refresh version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for
Office 2003, and then install the original released version of the Multilingual
User Interface Pack (MUI). If you are a Volume License customer, you
can download the original released version of Multilingual User Interface Pack
(MUI) pack for Office 2003. To do so, visit the following Microsoft Web site.
