Drag-and-drop, cut-and-paste, and dynamic resizing features do not work in a Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server guest operating system (831504)

SYMPTOMS

When you install a Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition guest operating system to Microsoft Virtual PC 2004, the following features may not work in the guest operating system, although the Virtual Machine Additions are installed:
  • Drag-and-drop.
  • Cut-and-paste.
  • Dynamic resizing of the virtual machine window.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Windows NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition is not supported as a guest operating system to Virtual PC 2004. Although you can install Windows NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition as a guest operating system, you may not be able to use all the features that the Virtual Machine Additions give you.
