DVD Playback May Miss Some Frames When You Minimize or Maximize the Window (831436)

SYMPTOMS

If you pause DVD playback in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004, and then you use the Maximize button or the Restore button on the Media Center window, you may notice that the DVD playback may have moved forward several frames. The video that is missed is less than one second.

RESOLUTION

If this problem occurs, resume playback and use the Rewind feature to return the video to its former position.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
