Cannot Save Stencils That Are Located on the Microsoft Visio Network Center Web Site in Visio 2002 (831395)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to save stencils that are located on the
Microsoft Visio Network Center Web site in Microsoft Visio 2002, you may
experience all the following symptoms:
- You may receive the Microsoft Visio progress dialog box,
but the progress indicator does not advance.
- Stencil files are not downloaded (saved) to your
computer.
- You do not receive an error message.
CAUSEThis behavior may occur if your computer is located behind a
proxy server.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, exclude the Microsoft Visio
Network Center Web site in your proxy settings. To do this, follow these
steps. Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the
following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your
product documentation to complete these steps.
- Quit Visio 2002 and any Internet programs that you may have
running, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet
Connections.
- Click Internet Options.
- On the Connections tab, select your
Internet connection, and then click Settings.
- In the Proxy Server area of your
connection dialog box, click Advanced.
- In the Exceptions area of the
Proxy Settings dialog box, type the following address for the
Microsoft Visio Network Center Web site in the Do not use proxy server
for addresses beginning with box:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/visio/networkcenter - Click OK to close the Proxy
Settings dialog box.
- Click OK to close your Internet
connection dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Internet
