OL2000: Outlook.MailItem.Recipients.Count Fails with Error 287 in Foreign Languages (830902)

SYMPTOMS

When you send mail programmatically in European language versions of Microsoft Outlook 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1), you may receive a runtime error 287 (Application-defined or object-defined error) message when you access the member variable recipients in the Outlook.MailItem.Recipients.Count Object Model.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Office 2000 SR1 MultiLanguage Pack.

Note Before you install the Office 2000 SP3 for Office 2000 SR1 MultiLanguage Pack, you must first have the following installed:

Office 2000 Service Release 1a Update
Office 2000 SP3
Office 2000 SR1 MultiLanguage Pack (the language pack that you are using)
