FIX: You Receive Error Messages When You Build a CE Test Kit (CETK) (830299)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2

SYMPTOMS

If you try to compile the Windows CE Test Kit (CETK) code, you receive error messages that indicate that CETK libraries are missing. For example, you may receive one of the following error messages:
NMAKE : U1073: don't know how to make 'C:\WINCE420\PUBLIC\MYPROJ\WINCE420\CEPC\oak\lib\x86\retail\netall.lib'
-or-
LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'stressutils.lib'
Error PB2505: Error executing link.exe.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because some CETK development modules are not included in the original released version of the Windows CE .NET 4.2 product.

RESOLUTION
