SUMMARY

WordPerfect 5.1 for Windows shares the same exact binary file format as WordPerfect 5.1 for MS-DOS. To open WordPerfect for Windows documents into Publisher, do the following:
  1. Open a text frame by clicking the Text Frame tool with the left mouse button, positioning the cursor in the desired location on the page, and holding down the left mouse button while dragging open the frame area.
  2. On the File menu, click Import Text.
  3. In the Import Text dialog box, select WordPerfect 5.1 in the List Type Of Files box.
  4. Select your document or type the drive, path, and file name of your file in the command line and click OK.
The document will now be opened in a Publisher text frame.
