Toolbar menus and ToolTips do not appear in the correct language in Visio 2003 (829937)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
  • Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003

SYMPTOMS

When you put your mouse pointer over a toolbar button, the ToolTip may not appear in the correct language in Microsoft Office Visio 2003.

Note Any menus that were previously customized may not appear in the correct language in Visio 2003.

CAUSE

This problem may occur after you install a Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI), and then change to another language by using Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, find and delete the Custom11.vsu file. To delete this file, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. Click All files and folders.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type custom11.vsu, and then click Search.
  4. Right-click the custom11.vsu file, and then click Delete.
  5. Click Yes.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
