The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000
- Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 SP1
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000, Microsoft COM Transaction Integrator (COMTI) components may cause 100 percent CPU usage by the Microsoft COM+ application package that houses the components if object pooling is enabled. When 100 percent CPU usage occurs, you must shut down the COM+ application package to recover.CAUSEThis intermittent problem may be caused by a timing issue in the COMTI runtime.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, shut down and then restart the COM+ application package. To do this: - Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel
- Double-click Administrative Tools.
- Double-click Component Services.
- In the left pane, expand Component Services, expand Computers, and then expand My Computer.
- Expand COM+ Applications.
- Right-click the application to be shutdown, and then click Shut down.
- After you shut down the application, right-click the application, and then click Start.
- Close the Component Services snap-in.
