ActiveSync may stop responding or may not connect after many soft resets (829089)

SYMPTOMSIf you soft reset Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 for a Pocket
PC device or for a Pocket PC Phone Edition many times, the device may stop
responding when you synchronize with Microsoft ActiveSync through a serial
cable or a USB cable. Infrared transfer speeds are not affected. RESOLUTIONHard reset your Pocket PC device. For more information about
how to perform a hard reset, see your device documentation.MORE INFORMATIONRestoring an ActiveSync backup may not resolve this problem
if the backup was made when the problem existed.
To reproduce the
problem, perform a soft reset several hundred times.
