FIX: Resource Monitor may crash in Windows 2000 Advanced Server (829055)

SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server cluster, Resource Monitor may intermittently stop responding (hang) or crash.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if event handles that are passed to Resource Monitor are not valid. An undefined event handle that is passed into Resource Monitor may cause Resource Monitor to hang or crash.

RESOLUTION
