You receive an "Attempting to use an incompatible version of visgrf.dll. Please re-install visgrf.dll" error message when you try to add a shape to a drawing in Visio 2003 (828967)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to add a shape to a drawing in Microsoft Office
Visio 2003, you may receive the following error message: Attempting to use an incompatible version of visgrf.dll. Please
re-install visgrf.dll. If you continue to modify your drawing, you
may find that shapes and connectors appear incorrectly. CAUSEThis problem may occur if all the following conditions are
true:
- Both Microsoft Visio 2002 and Visio 2003 are installed on
the same computer.
- Visio 2002 is installed by a member of the Users
group.
- Visio 2003 is installed by a member of the Administrators
group that is used by all Users.
- Visio 2002 has been repaired or has been
updated.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do either of the following:
- Start Visio 2002.
- Remove Visio 2002 from the computer.
