The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003

For a Microsoft FrontPage 2002 version of this article, see 286758.

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Web page in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 and you try to insert the Photo Gallery Slide Show layout, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • When you try to use Insert Web Components to insert a Photo Gallery Slide Show, the Finish button is unavailable (the button appears dimmed).
  • When you try to use Picture on the Insert menu to insert a New Photo Gallery, the Slide Show layout does not appear on the Layout tab.
  • When you view Photo Gallery Properties of a Photo Gallery on a Web page, Slide Show is not available on the Layout tab.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if JavaScript is turned off in the Compatibility settings. If JavaScript is turned off in the Compatibility settings, Slide Show is not available as a Photo Gallery option. Slide Show is the only Photo Gallery that requires JavaScript.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must turn on JavaScript. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Page Options, and then click the Authoring tab.
  2. In the Browsers area, click to select the JavaScript/Jscript check box, and then click OK.
