IFilter10 for Visio 2002 is not automatically removed when you upgrade to Visio 2003 (828823)

SYMPTOMSWhen you upgrade to Microsoft Office Visio 2003, IFilter10
for Microsoft Visio 2002 is not automatically removed before the
upgrade.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Install Visio 2003.
- Restart your computer or restart the Microsoft Windows
Indexing Service. The computer may continue to use the old version of IFilter
until you restart the computer or restart the Indexing Service.
To restart the Indexing Service, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Control
Panel.
- Click Performance and
Maintenance.
- Click Administration Tools.
- Double-click Services.
- Locate, and then click Indexing
Service.
- Click Restart the Service.
- Close Services.
- Quit Control Panel.
Visio 2003 will now be using IFilter11. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section of this article.MORE INFORMATIONThe Microsoft Visio IFilter is a component that is used by
the Indexing Service, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, and Microsoft
SharePoint Team Server to index text in Visio files (.VSD, .VSS, .VST, .VDX,
