Windows CE Media Player Update Improves the Quality of Playback (828691)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2
  • Microsoft Windows Media Player

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Windows Media Player, you may experience the following symptoms:
  • Playback of local video is slow.
  • The low frame rate that is returned by DirectShow results in poor video streaming quality.
  • Playback of local audio "stutters", that is, a short sequence of playback is repeated multiple times (this may be approximately one second). The length of the sequence depends on the hardware audio buffer.
