The title is blank on the page tab of a new OneNote page after you insert an audio recording (828615)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
SYMPTOMS If you click Titles in Page Tabs on the
View menu after you insert an audio recording in a new OneNote
page, the new page will not have a title on the page tab.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the first line of the outline in
a new OneNote page is blank when you insert an audio recording. If the first
line of the outline is blank, the new page remains untitled.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, put text in the first line of
the outline. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the outline that the audio recording
created.
- Put your pointer at the start of the first line above the
audio recording text.
- At this point, you can either type some text to provide a
title for the new OneNote page, or you can delete the blank line that is above
the audio recording text. If you delete the blank line that is above the audio
recording text, text that is similar to the following text is automatically
used to name the page:
Audio recording started: Time, Day Date
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
