The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

SYMPTOMS

When you try to insert a picture from a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services picture library to a placeholder in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 slide by using the right mouse button to drag the picture to the slide, a shortcut menu does not appear as expected, and the picture is not inserted in the PowerPoint 2003 slide.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the picture was rotated before you dragged it to the PowerPoint 2003 slide.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. In the Windows SharePoint Services picture library or in the image library, click to select the check box that is under the picture that you want, and then click Send To.

Note You can select more than one picture at a time. When you send the pictures, each picture is inserted in a separate, new slide.
  2. In the Send Pictures dialog box, select the presentation where you want to insert the picture under Insert into an open file, and then click Send.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
