The MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM service may log event warning 19011 in the event log (828246)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you view the event log on a computer that has Microsoft Windows XP Professional installed, you may find an event warning that is similar to one of the following:

CAUSE

This problem may occur if one of the following conditions exists:
  1. File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is not installed.
  2. The Windows XP Professional-based computer is part of a workgroup. Computers that are joined to a network domain should not experience this problem.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:
  1. Install the File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks service. This service is required for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager to function as expected.
  2. Join your computer to a domain, if one is available.

How to install Windows XP file and printer sharing

To install Windows XP file and printer sharing, have your Windows XP installation media available, as you may be prompted for it during installation. Follow these steps to install Windows XP file and printer sharing:
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
  2. Select your connection, and then right-click Properties.
  3. Click Install, click Service, click Add, and then click File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
  4. Click OK, and then click Close. You may be prompted to restart your computer after the installation.
You may receive the warning because you are not joined to a domain. The warnings are informational. They are not an indication that anything is wrong, and you can safely disregard them.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

  2. Click Performance and Maintenance.
