Orphaned processes are created when you exit from a Telnet session by clicking Close (828109)

SYMPTOMSWhen you exit from a Telnet client session that is connected to a Telnet server, and you click Close, a problem occurs. The child processes that are running in the session become orphaned processes.CAUSEThis problem occurs when you click Close. You are supposed to type exit to end the Telnet session.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, type exit to close the Telnet session.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
