Animated diagrams in a presentation do not play as expected in PowerPoint 2003 Viewer (827747)

SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 Viewer to
show a presentation that contains animated diagrams, the diagrams do not appear
animated. CAUSEThis problem occurs because animated diagrams are not
supported in the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer. WORKAROUNDUse one of the following methods to work around this
problem. Method 1: Use PowerPoint 2003 to View the PresentationPackage the PowerPoint 2003 presentation without the PowerPoint
2003 Viewer and use the presentation only on computers that have PowerPoint
2003 installed. Method 2: Use a Browser to View the PresentationSave the PowerPoint 2003 presentation as a Web page so that the
animations can be viewed by using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or
later. To save a PowerPoint presentation as a Web page and view the
animations in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
- Open the presentation that you want to save.
- Click File, and then click Save as
Web Page.
- Name the presentation, and then save it as an .mht file.
Note You can also change the name of the presentation. To do so, click
the Change Title button in the Save As window. - To save to your computer click
Save.
- To publish the presentation to a Web page, follow these
steps:
- Click Publish.
- In the Publish as Web Page dialog box,
in the Publish what section, click to select the
Complete presentation check box.
- In the Publish a copy as section, in
the File name box, type the full path of the Web page and the
file name that you want to use.
- Click Publish.
