Picture Manager does not start when you double-click a file after you associate an image file type with Picture Manager 2003 (827729)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003
- Microsoft Office Word 2003
- Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
- Microsoft Office Excel 2003
SYMPTOMSAfter you associate an image file type with Microsoft Office
Picture Manager 2003, Picture Manager does not start when you double-click the
file.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because some third-party programs do
not use the registry correctly.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, you must "de-associate" the file
from any program that it was previously associated with, and then associate it
to Picture Manager. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click My
Computer, click the Tools menu, click Folder
Options, and then click the File Types tab.
- In the Registered file types list, click
the file type that you want to open with a different program, and then click
Change.
- In the Open With dialog box, click
Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2003, and then click
OK.
- In the Folder Options dialog box, click
OK.
