Site Staging Problems Occur After You Apply MCMS 2002 SP1 (827694)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 SP1

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1), some or all of the following problems may occur:
  • Site staging may run for much longer than expected. Site staging never completes and you have to manually end the process, or it may take a long time to finish, up to several hours. After site staging is complete, the whole site may not be fully staged. Site staging stops responding in the middle of the staging.
  • If a page (PageA) has a connected page (PageA1), and PageA has a hyperlink in a placeholder that points to PageA1, PageA is not staged. Therefore, any hyperlinks that point to PageA are broken after site staging.
  • Site staging may abruptly end the process without staging the whole site. After the staging logs are analyzed, the last entry looks similar to the following:
